Owner, Mackla Construction
Connor started in the trades at 16, training first as an exterior plasterer before moving into carpentry. He finished his building apprenticeship in two and a half years, became a registered Licensed Building Practitioner in 2019, then went out on his own. Mackla Construction is named after his son and daughter.

Most new builds, cladding jobs and structural work need a building consent from your local council. We factor consent requirements into the quote for every job that needs one, so there are no surprises partway through.
Timeframes depend on the scope of work, consent processing and the weather. We'll give you a realistic timeframe as part of your free quote, and keep you updated if anything changes along the way.
Yes. Recladding is one of the jobs we do most, using James Hardie, cedar, LMA and other timber claddings. If your home needs recladding for weathertightness or just a refresh, get in touch for a quote.
Yes. We regularly work alongside outside architects and engineers on new builds and relocatable homes. If you don't have one yet, we can talk through the options as part of your quote.
